Maximizes your test instrument investment while minimizing your costs
Secure your investments with technical assistance and instrument maintenance from the test and management experts. JDSU Product Support Services are offered to support and extend the life of your test instruments by ensuring that your installed base is operational and available, thus maximizing the return on your investment.
Highlights
- High quality service - As a leading provider of high-end test instruments, JDSU differentiates itself with the highest level of service and expertise available for Product Support Services. As part of JDSU's calibration and repair services, we feature added value services, including software updates and incorporation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), that third-party service providers cannot match. Services are performed in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements. Procedures and equipment used for these services are traceable to standards set forth, maintained, and established by the United States Department of Commerce and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
- Maximize your investment in test instruments - Extended warranty options and regular calibration help extend the useful life of test instruments, maximizing your return on investment. With an JDSU-managed upgrade program, existing equipment is analyzed to ensure that it is properly calibrated and that all required and available software, hardware, and firmware upgrades are installed on a timetable meeting your requirements and at a cost that is substantially lower than new equipment purchases.
- Minimize downtime - Service contracts get broken units fixed more quickly by having a process in place. In addition, during regular calibration, JDSU performs preventive maintenance checks to prevent future problems. If you require absolute minimum downtime, JDSU can provide you with a loaner program to keep units out in the field while JDSU services your instruments. This is another benefit of JDSU services that third-party repair companies cannot match.
- Reduce administrative expenses - A service contract eliminates much of the time and expense incurred when a you repair and calibrate test instruments one at a time. JDSU's Calibration Plan Manager or On-site Calibration Services allow your engineering and operations managers to focus on their customers by eliminating the need to manually track which test instruments are due or overdue for calibration.
- Reduce unexpected expenses - An annual FleetCare contract provides repair, calibration, software upgrades, and 24/7 technical support services for a fixed cost that can be planned and budgeted. If you currently have more than ten test instruments deployed and would like to reduce unexpected expenses and improve downtime, a FleetCare contract may be beneficial.
- On-site solutions - Calibration, software/hardware upgrades, and repair performed on-site at your location are available to customers with a large number of JDSU or third-party test instruments. On-site delivery of return-to-factory services capitalizes on large economies of scale to decrease turnaround time and downtime and to eliminate shipping expenses.
