Control remote JDSU test instruments from your desktop
The Distributed Test Manager 32 (DTM-32) allows you to allocate valuable testing and troubleshooting resources more effectively via remote personal computer access to JDSU communications analyzers.
Highlights
- Simulates the analyzer on a PC via a graphical user interface front access panel, increasing data reporting and analysis efficiency and reducing travel overhead.
- Takes full advantage of Microsoft Windows 32-bit interface to operate on Windows 95, 98, NT V 4.0 and higher, and 2000 platforms.
- Expedites routine procedures and stores a variety of communication configurations that can be quickly recalled to establish a connection from the PC to the JDSU instrument.
- Operates remote test instruments simultaneously, enabling view and control of both sides of end-to-end testing.
Applications
- Troubleshoot remote network problems from the central office with dial-up or telnet connections.
- Connect directly to the instrument from the field via a laptop and collect and store results in ASCII text for later analysis and reporting.
- Use as a component of a complete, distributed test solution in network management and communications control centers.
Key Features
- LEDs display results and status simultaneously on the PC access panel and the JDSU instrument.
- DTM-32 scripting automates configurations and printing and storing of test results.
- Printer window displays, prints, and automatically saves to an ASCII text file. Information can also be copied into other PC applications.
