PathTrak WebView V2.0

WebView V2.0 for PathTrak is now available. WebView V2.0 server software automatically calculates and ranks the RF upstream performance of your nodes, enabling operators to prioritize their work force and organize more efficiently for finding and fixing network problems fast. PathTrak WebView allows operators to access live spectrum views and generate reports from outside of the corporate LAN network to remotely troubleshoot upstream issues.

You must have the following items to install, run, and use WebView V2.0:

  1. PathTrak Server - V2.3 Service Pack 5 or higher
  2. WebView Server software
  3. WebView license file
  4. HCU Firmware  -  V2.35 or higher
  5. RPM1000 Firmware  -  V2.32 or higher.
    RPM2000 Firmware  -  V1.03 or higher
  6. WebView Client (Web Browser)

WebView Server Operating System Requirements:

English Microsoft® Windows® XP SP1 or higher
English Microsoft Windows 2000 Server SP3 or higher
English Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

Server PC requirements for the PathTrak WebView software:

The PathTrak server must be V2.3 Service Pack 5 or higher. One PathTrak WebView server is required per PathTrak server. A link to the latest PathTrak service pack software and Installation/Administration Guide can be found at the link above.

  • A dedicated PC is no longer required for the PathTrak WebView V2.0 Server.  WebView server software can also be installed on the PathTrak server PC (with minimum server PC requirements).
  • WebView server software cannot be installed on the same server PC as the Test Productivity Pack/FDM server software, but it can be installed on the same PC that is running the PathTrak and Test Productivity Pack Client software.
  • JDSU recommends dual processors and a minimum of 1 GB of RAM for the server.  For more detailed specifications refer to WebView data sheet.

PathTrak V2.3 Service Pack Requirements:

JDSU strongly recommends that customers upgrade their PathTrak Server and Client software version 2.3 to the latest Service Pack which is Service Pack 6.

WebView Server Hard Drive Requirements:

The hard drive size is determined by the amount of data to be collected. Each RPM card requires approximately 5.6 MB of storage space for each day of 15-minute intervals. Multiplying 5.6 MB by the number of days that the data will be kept on hand (purge interval) gives an approximate hard drive size requirement.

For example:

A 31-day purge interval (default setting) with 1 fully loaded HCU1500 (15 cards) requires 2.6 GB of hard drive space.

15 cards x 5.6 MB x 31 days = 2,604,000,000 or 2.6 GB
