Transport blades are designed to address the market drive towards higher levels of integration and increasing intelligence in the optical layer. Through a holistic approach called “functional integration,” JDSU is able to develop blades that are architecturally transparent, seamlessly integrating all major transport functions onto a single-slot blade solution.

ROADMs

Optical Amplifiers

JDSU's Optical Amplifiers respond dynamically to accommodate changes in number of wavelengths or signal powers using advanced transient suppression techniques. As a result, they preserve gain, flatness and output power over a wide range of input conditions to meet the needs of reconfigurable optical networks.

Optical Components

The JDSU Optical Components family includes modulators, switches, attenuators and tunable filters. These products provide the basis for spectrally efficient DWDM transmission utilizing dispersion tolerant modulation, channel monitoring, wavelength switching, remote power control and dynamic channel selection.
