Notch/Blocking Filters

Laser Line Rejection Filters (PDF, 180 KB)
The superior answer to your laser line blocking needs.
A notch or blocking filter rejects a narrow wavelength band or part of the wavelength spectrum and leaves the rest of the spectrum little changed. Notch or blocking filters are used in a variety of applications: CMOS sensor covers for digital imaging, fluorescence filters for microscopy and cytology, night vision goggles, and laser line rejection to name a few.
JDSU has a variety of coating platforms to provide notch and blocking filters ranging from 0.3 nm to 25 µm. Optical densities of > 6 can be achieved. The filters provide excellent light transmission/reflection levels, excellent spectral stability and coating uniformity, and durability. The notch/blocking filters are available on a variety of substrates and can be fabricated to meet your design requirements.
