Dicro® Filters for Entertainment Lighting
JDSU Dicro® filters offer lighting manufacturers color precision and durability, even in the most demanding applications. Color consistency in the filter production is a vital factor in ensuring consistency of performance of the luminaire. To this end, JDSU employs precise spectral positioning and CIE measurement practices.
Dicro filters possess superior spectral stability and physical durability characteristics. Compared to organic dye or gelatin filters, no degradation of performance is apparent with age or use. The hard, all-dielectric coatings are extremely durable when exposed to heat, humidity, thermal shock, abrasion and handling.
For maximum applicability to the entertainment industry, we offer the etched color filters in a variety of custom shapes and patterns. Color, in addition to black and white Gobos, provide specialized lighting effects to the end user.
With a variety of coating processes, including ion-assisted deposition and our patented MetaMode® process, plus a large number of coating machines - ranging from small, ultra-precise to large-diameter, high-volume coaters, we can provide the right dichroic filters to meet every color management need.
