Overview

In today's marketplace, network technicians need to know the state of the network from the Headend to the Optical Nodes down through their cascaded Amplifiers. That being said, how do you correct for excessive Tilt, Low End Roll-off, Suck-Outs or High-End Roll-offs or excessive dB loss in your network? Also, how do you ensure that your network is operating at optimum levels? The answer to these two questions is to regularly Sweep and Balance your cable network

JDSU's Stealth Sweep™ is the patented solution to your Sweep problems and this Webinar will provide answers to your pressing Sweep questions. The Webinar will discuss the role of Forward Sweep, Reverse Sweep and Sweepless Sweep along with answering the question of where and when should you perform the Sweep. We’ll define an optimized sweep plan which includes both active test sweep points that represent unused frequency bands within the network’s spectrum, as well as reference carriers. You will learn essential information about Forward and Reverse Sweep as conducted using only one DSAM-6000 meter in conjunction with the SDA-5500 Stealth Sweep Transceiver or as conducted using a SDA-5510 Return Sweep Manager located at the headend or hub site. Note that the SDA-5510 can provide reverse sweep alignment for up to ten different technicians. Again, this Webinar has been designed to provide you knowledge about Sweeping your network and will provide you a chance to ask your in-depth Sweep questions of the JDSU Sweep expert, Mr. Timothy Miller, Senior Trainer.
