Instrument Maintenance, Technical Assistance, and Support

The wide range of capabilities of JDSU’s instruments has necessitated that we establish a service center able to handle a variety of product support services. JDSU processes thousands of pieces of equipment each month, from sophisticated optical test instruments to copper test meters. This core competency enables JDSU, in conjunction with our nationwide partners, to offer coverage of your entire installed base of instruments. We manage the repair and calibration process, providing you a single point of contact and reducing administrative expenses.

In addition to supporting your instruments, JDSU can help you track and manage these assets. We inventory your equipment, manage the information in a database, and let you know when the equipment is due for calibration or upgrade. Based on an understanding of your applications and workforce requirements, we can also make recommendations as to when equipment should be re-deployed and can help you assess new equipment requirements.

Repair Services

Extended Warranty
An extended warranty eliminates unexpected expenses associated with costly repairs. JDSU offers the option to extend the warranty period beyond the standard warranty before or after expiration. We can pro-rate extended warranties to allow for coterminous warranty expiration for a group of test equipment.
Factory Repair
We offer return-to-factory repair for all JDSU equipment. Our technicians will ensure the equipment is functioning properly and will install any ECNs before it is shipped back to the customer.
Single Source Repair
Together with our strategic partners, we offer repair services for the majority of third-party test equipment and general instrumentation products. The results are a single supplier for your test instrument repair needs and the confidence that all services provided will conform to JDSU’s quality and accountability standards.

Calibration Services

Factory Calibration
Provides an ISO Certified Calibration at JDSU’s site. The Calibration Plan allows for discounts for bulk return to factory calibration contracts.
On-site Calibration
Provides ISO Certified Calibration for bulk equipment, at the customers’ site, significantly reducing equipment downtime.
Single Source Calibration
Together with our partners, we offer ISO Certified Calibration of non-JDSU equipment. This provides you with a one-stop solution for all your calibration needs.

Instrument Management Services

Calibration Plan Manager
Provides reports detailing status of equipment in the calibration process.
 

Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Services

24 x 7 TAC Support
Provides the technical assistance you need 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
