Communications Test & Measurement

Thank you for your interest to try our Release Candidate firmware for the DSAM field meter.

Release Candidate is the name we assign to the meter firmware in the final phase of our beta testing program before the firmware is released to production. Since it is technically a beta release, precautions need to be addressed by the customer regarding the use and expectations of the firmware’s performance. Before we can allow the download, please review the beta agreement at the link at the beginning of the registration to assure yourself that you want to continue. If you agree, complete the short registration below, including the Beta Agreement acceptance button, then click one of the firmware links to submit your registration and start the download.

Any customer with FDM-100 or the Test Productivity Pack (TPP) can install the downloaded beta firmware to as many meters as you wish to control. Installing the beta is just like any other firmware upgrade. If you are unfamiliar with this process please refer to our standard upgrade site for more details at: Upgrade your DSAM meter(s)

Reversing the upgrade from the Release Candidate to the current production version will not be possible at your site. It is possible by contacting our Technical Assistance Center (TAC). This is done by each meter individually by serial number. Therefore, we advise you to try the release within your work environment with no more than two or three meters for the first few days before deploying to large quantities of meters.

Typically the final production release will occur within a month after we announce the Release Candidate.

Please read and understand the short Beta Agreement
