Optical Network Management System (ONMS) increases workforce productivity and facilitates the management of fiber optic networks with fewer technicians through fiber remote testing and accurate fiber plant documentation. The system accurately detects and locates fiber degradation, alerting operators and managers with the details of faults. Measurement schedules allow network operators to assess long term fiber performance to form the basis of efficient asset management.

Main enhancements with ONMS 5.10 release (May 2008)

Capability to locate faults directly on a third party mainstream internet mapping tool (if installed). This eliminates database compatibility issues and the need of finding maps
Possibility to export alarm history to Excel in order to store data, filter information and/or customize alarm reports
Possible export and storage from OTDR traces performed from the Web trace viewer
