The Paragon test solution has the ability to fully stress test the operation of components and network elements that perform the circuit emulation of TDM streams into packet-based networks, as well as PSTN packet tunnels.
Highlights:
- Quick identification of corruption and disruption events with the to-use graphical interface.
- Generates ITU-T G.8261 and MEF18 Test Case PDV profiles from supplied PDV library.
- Introduction of packet and message corruption events including lost, misordered, and repeated.
- Proves IEEE 1588v2 bi-directional capability.
- Emulates Transparent Clock nodes.
- Test for clock recovery under real network and worst-case conditions.
Applications:
- Generates Packet Delay Variation (PDV) profiles and tests that the Sync can be recovered under real network conditions. These profiles can be captured from real networks or standards (e.g. G.8261)
- Using real-world PDV formates for proving 1588v2, CES and NTP products in Ethernet switches, routers and gateways
- Capturing of PDV profiles in any frame format from live or trial networks
Features:
- Sync port
- Long-term capture from real networks
- 1588v2 and CES specific features (like decode 1588v2 messages, timestamps, etc.)
- Capture, then replay problem-flow back in the lab to determine the source of service degradation, if a problem arises in post deployment
