Who Should Attend
Engineers and technicians who are seeking to broaden their understanding on Fiber Optics.
Synopsis
Optical fiber replacing copper wires is a continuing phenomenon. As we push technology to the limits, the need to test fibre is a real requirement for optimal performance. This course is designed for engineers and technicians and covers the theory of light transmission, examines types of fiber and distances attainable. The course also discusses challenges for the fibre optics data transmission with respect to attenuation, amplification, converters, testing methods, OTDR, PMD and chromatic dispersion.
