Synopsis
This course is designed to provide an introduction to Voice over IP networks, exploring the motivation for the development and implementation of VoIP networks, and the protocols used to implement VoIP. Discussing the technical issues that affect users' perceived Quality of Service (QoS), this introductory training course includes terminology, protocols and IT & Telco convergence, VoIP and SCN technology, PABX to PSTN, call connectivity and enterprise networking. VoIP - gateways and gate keepers, RSVP, RTP & RTCP, signaling (SS#7 overview), SIP & MGCP, ISDN, ITU H.323 and its subsets: VoIP - PABX to PSTN, call connectivity and enterprise networking.
