Argon-Ion and Helium-Neon Lasers Brochure (PDF, 235 KB)
Longevity and predictable electrical and optical performance enable a wide variety of applications.
JDSU manufactures air-cooled argon-ion and helium-neon lasers in a dedicated manufacturing facility for gas lasers, continuing its heritage of setting industry standards for gas laser performance and reliability.
With the need to clean optics in the field eliminated, laser life today is measured in years, not weeks or months. JDSU argon-ion lasers are extremely stable over the entire range of operating current and temperature, providing reliable service in applications ranging from semiconductor inspection to DNA sequencing.
JDSU helium-neon lasers feature a patented, close-cathode design, resulting in excellent thermal-beam pointing and power stability and providing the stability and reliability required for applications such as hematology and flow-cytometry.
Single-line wavelengths include 458, 488, or 514 nm with output power ranging from 5 to 75 mW and multi-line output power of up to 40 mW.
