Overview

DQI is a Real-Time measurement that catches impairments masked by the correction capability of QAM receiver components or the burst protection capability of deep interleaving. DQI measurements are also instantaneous vs. the slower BER or Errored Seconds measurements which have settling time as long as 25 to 30 seconds or more. DQI measurements are considered complementary to BER and MER and enables installers to go a step further and detect impairments well below the threshold at which digital services, such as VOD, High Definition TV (HDTV), are potentially corrupted. DQI is measured closer to the physical RF layer than any of the digital quality measurements common today.

You will learn:
  • How DQI Uncovers problems with Digital Carriers Faster & Better
  • How to catch errors frequently missed by BER and Errored Seconds
  • Why DQI is so technician friendly and easy to use
