Process Control/Machine Vision

Machine vision is the application of computer vision to industry and manufacturing. One of the most common applications of machine vision is the inspection of manufactured goods such as semiconductor chips, automobiles, food, and pharmaceuticals. Process control generally uses machine vision components during the manufacturing process to control defined process parameters including the color in an intermediate paint step in the automotive industry or an angle tolerance in machine-tool fabrication. Machine vision often employs scanners, CCD cameras, detectors, and a light source. JDSU has a broad array of optical filters/mirrors for these components.
