San Jose, CA – January 12, 2004 – JDS Uniphase (Nasdaq: JDSU and TSX: JDU), today announced that a JDS Uniphase-manufactured DLP* light engine will be incorporated in ViewSonic®Corporation’s N5600w, Rear Projection Television (RPTV) recently introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Integration into this new ViewSonic product extends JDS Uniphase’stechnological leadership in the high definition television (HDTV) market.
