An update from Kevin Kennedy, President and CEO, regarding the incident that occurred this morning at our Rose Orchard manufacturing facility, in San Jose, CA:
"Today we experienced an incident at our Rose Orchard, San Jose facility, the cause of which remains uncertain at this time. What we do know is that, in accordance with our well-established plans, our emergency response team and local authorities responded to a facility event, which caused 12 of our full-time employees to be transported to local hospitals and the remaining employees at the facility to be temporarily quarantined while an investigation was conducted. Eleven of those employees have now been released and have returned to their homes and families. One employee remains in the hospital tonight under observation. In addition, the quarantine has been lifted and the facility has been released to our control as we end the day.
While we do not yet know the cause of the incident, the local fire department, hazardous materials teams and hospitals have conducted a number of tests and no evidence of any contamination has been found yet. Accordingly, we are expecting to resume operations at the facility on Monday, March 6. We will of course be resuming such operations in a controlled and deliberate manner, with the safety and health of our employees being of paramount concern. We currently do not expect this incident to materially adversely impact our business."
