JDSU Asymmetric RFC and J-QuickCheck (RFC2544 Enhancements)
JDSU now provides enhanced, asymmetrical RFC2544 test features on its most popular Ethernet test lines, including the T-BERD®/MTS 6000A Multi Services Application Module (MSAM), T-BERD/MTS-8000 Transport Module, and HST-3000 Ethernet Service Interface Module (SIM):
- Test packet jitter within the RFC2544 script.
- Test links with different upstream and downstream guaranteed rates.
- Perform Throughput, Latency, and Packet Jitter tests concurrently to complete a quick RFC2544 test in under 3 minutes.
- Measure all typical parameters such as back-to-back frames, frame loss, throughput and delay--from the Metro Core to the customer premises by using an HST-3000 at the customer premises.
- JDSU J-QuickCheck, a pre-RFC2544 test ensures
that no time is wasted while testing a circuit. J-QuickCheck will send a short traffic burst to the far end to ensure end-to-end connectivity before starting the RFC2544 test. Technicians no longer need to start a longer-term test only to find that the circuit was not up and that throughput, packet loss and latency could not be measured.
JDSU offers a single-source Carrier Ethernet test portfolio that facilitates analysis of all seven layers of next-generation IP networks. The JDSU portfolio provides the industry’s deepest set of test features in an integrated, end-to-end approach to testing Carrier Ethernet products and services, including lab and service verification, development and production, installation and maintenance, troubleshooting and overall service assurance. The portfolio offers service providers and NEMs the confidence to successfully build, deploy, and manage Carrier Ethernet and Business-Class solutions.
