Santa Rosa, California, August 25, 2000 -- Optical Coating Laboratory, Inc. announced a new Web site that features its MicroPac(tm) line of compact spectrometers. The Web site, www.micropaconline.com, contains product information, news, application notes, and other appropriate information for the users of MicroPac compact spectrometers, as well as the general spectroscopy community. The MicroPac Web site can also be accessed through OCLI's main site at www.ocli.com.
The MicroPac compact spectrometers are a new, innovative line of very small, rugged, stable and cost-effective spectrometers and spectral engines developed by OCLI. They are based on OCLI's proprietary line of linear variable filters, which bring unprecedented stability and performance at a low cost. The target markets for MicroPac are field applications of spectroscopy such as point-of-care medical devices, food analyzers, color sensors, field-installed chemical and environmental sensors and other applications where small, rugged and cost-effective spectrometers are needed.
According to Sohrab Zarrabian, Ph.D., Strategic Business Unit manager, Instrumentation Products, "The MicroPac spectrometer technology brings in a new era for the use of spectroscopy in many new applications. Our new Web site is designed to efficiently communicate information about this exciting, revolutionary product line with our target markets. Customers can now find out about the latest developments, news, and product information."
